Living Spaces
Timeless charm & contemporary comforts.
Cothelstone Manor is an occasion house with seven king and super king-sized bedrooms, six bathrooms, a grand dining hall, a billiard room, a drawing room, snug, modern kitchen and two walled gardens. The Manor has everything for an unforgettable stay with friends and family.
The Drawing Room
British tradition meets luxurious comfort in our grand and spacious drawing room. With enough space for the whole party, the drawing room is the perfect place to host formal drinks or play board games in front of a roaring fire. Windows span the length of the room overlooking the historic gatehouse; the light changing hour to hour. Light and airy for a breakfast coffee to the golden hues of sunset, many unforgettable hours will be spent in this special space.
The Billiard Room
Often a guest favourite, the Billiard Room offers something truly unique. With a nod to the roaring twenties and packed full of quintessential British charm, the drawing room is the space to party the night away. Think champagne, games and a pinch of bad behaviour. The room boasts a bar complete with glassware, a ¾ size Billiards table and informal seating.
The Snug
Sink into the unctuous velvet wrap-around sofa, with enough space for 10 of you to cosy up in front of the 65-inch TV. A film with friends, a romantic retreat for a couple or the perfect spot to entertain the children. We can’t quite explain the magic of this little room.
The Dining Hall
The Dining Hall is at the heart of the house. Feast with family or invite friends, the historic hall has been a space for celebration for over 500 years. With a grand staircase and double height ceiling, the dining hall at Cothelstone Manor is a rare chance to dine in history.
The Kitchen
With a nod to its scullery past, clean lines, earthy tones and a touch of scandi design, the kitchen is a beautiful and functional space. A seven hob, three oven La Canche cooker sits at the centre, with space to cook family feasts and for professional caterers alike.
Caterers
We have handpicked a small selection of exceptional local caterers. Think a big brunch with the gals, a fine dining black-tie dinner, a picnic packed and ready to go or pizzas made with local heritage grain. Utilising Cothelstones’ own Estate produce and that of other local farmers and growers that call the Quantocks their home. Put your feet up and let someone else do the leg work.
The Local Area
